A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE VASE LAMP

SKU: 150L

£3,200

Of generous proportions, the vase is painted in cobalt blue with scrolling lambrequin motifs to the shoulder, above freely drawn floral sprays. The decoration and form suggest a European origin in the late 17th to early 18th century, likely from one of the major centres of tin-glazed earthenware production. The lambrequin motif - a hallmark of both French faience and Dutch Delftware of the period - makes definitive attribution difficult, though it sits comfortably within either tradition.

Wired for UK plugs with braided silk flex - E27 bulb holder. Conversion to US and EU wiring possible.

Shown here with a 18" shade - possibly available separately. Please see our lampshade collection.
