These armorial bearings undoubtedly commemorate the marriage of Randal William
MacDonnell, the 6th Earl of Antrim [later 1st and last Marquess of Antrim3] (born 4th
November 1749 died 29th July 1791) and The Honourable Letitia (née Morres)
Trevor4 (born after 1742 died 7th December 1801) whom he married on the 3rd July
1774. Randel was the only son of Alexander MacDonnell, the 5th Earl of Antrim and
his second wife, Anne Plunkett, whilst Letitia was the eldest daughter of Hervey
Morres, the 1st Viscount Mountmorres and his first wife, Lady Letitia Ponsonby.
