An incredibly good bookcase almost certainly by Gillows. The interior has 20 shelves, which aren't shown in the photograph. The central base section consists of a secretaire writing desk, retaining the original baize lining, above a shelved cupboard. The flanking cupboards are shown with four drawers in the right cupboard - unusually these drawer have been designed to be transferable to the opposing cupboard. The timber is beautifully figured.
