AN EARLY 17TH CENTURY SPANISH JOINED CHEST

Of joined iron-bound construction, probably once covered in fabric. I love the warped and rustic form, and the fragments of fabric left behind the original pierced iron escutcheon. I think it's either constructed from chestnut or walnut. Spain, c.1600-1640
