A pair of zoological engravings from Description de l’Égypte, the monumental work commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte during his Egyptian campaign (1798–1801). They focus on Egyptian and North African reptiles and amphibians.
Probably drawn by Henri-Joseph Redouté and engraved by Duhamel and Bouquet under the direction of zoologist Étienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire.
